39^th MECSEK CUP 18-19 of April 1998

INVITATION

Baranya County Orienteering Federation and PVSK OL Section invites all friends of orienteering to take part in the 39^th international MECSEK CUP.

Type and form of competition: International two-days competition.

Terrain: Typical Central European terrain at 250-500 m above sea level. Special karstic terrain with a lot of depressions and pits. Mainly deciduous forest with patches of thick vegetation. The runnability is mostly very good.

Maps: 1:15000, 1:10000, 5 m contours, according to IOF standard,

surveyed and printed in 1996-1997

Finish Areas: 1^st day: From the road between Pécs and Abaliget turn right at Remete-rét,

and drive about 2 km. Distance from parking area to finish is 600m.

2^nd day: In the centre of Orfű turn right to Bános, the finish area will take place in this

little village

First starts : 18. April 1998 12.30am

19. April 1998. 9.00am

Victory ceremony: 1.00pm at the finish area on 2^nd day.

Prizes will be given for the first three of the total results in each classes.

Cross country mountain biking: On the first day at 5.00pm cross country mountain biking competition will be organised. Categories: M-18, M18-40, M40-, W-18, W18-40. Entry fee: 2DM/prsn
