Hungary on the maps
43. Teleki Pál: Magyarország néprajzi térképe a népsűrűség alapján … Budapest, 1920.
Prime Minister Count Pal Teleki, who committed suicide on 3 April 1941, when Yugoslavia was attacked via Hungary, was a distinguished geographer with fine achievements to his credit. This map shows the distribution of the nationalities in Hungary in such a way that uninhabited areas such as mountain ranges and lakes are not coloured in. Thus he is able to achieve greater precision in delimiting the areas inhabited by particular groups than superficial maps which draw no distinction between uninhabited and inhabited areas.
