The library of the Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics has a collection of books (5000), atlases, maps (8000), globes and celestial globes. The BSc, MSc and PhD degree theses are also kept in the library. Their list can be found on the website of the department (www.lazarus.elte.hu).
The items in the library come from the disciplines of cartography, geodesy, geography and related sciences. There are also reference publications (encyclopaedias, monographs, handbooks) and maps in Hungarian and foreign languages.
This is not a public library, but the colleagues and students of the department and other departments of the university as well as other universities and research institutions can use it.
